and your teacher is like
and your crush looks at you and is like
and then you’re just like
okay bedtime
i am regularly baffled by the expectation that women of color, especially black women, owe people explanations for everything. tumblr is an easy microcosm to point to, but it’s pervasive damn near everywhere.
- wanna be treated like a human? you better have a nice academic jargon-filled justification for that because last we heard, women of color were just breathing cadavers!
- don’t like it when someone calls you the n-word? your discomfort isn’t enough! you better give them a crash course on american racism, history, and language in one easily digestible soundbite!
- racism in the media? HAVE YOU SEEN EVERY MOVIE EVER CREATED? IF NOT YOU CAN’T SPEAK! YOU BETTER HAVE RECEIPTS! WHERE ARE YOUR FOOTNOTES? LEMME SEE THE CITATIONS! BUST THEM OUT NOW!
of course this is DOUBLY insulting because the people demanding answers are usually those with disproportionate access to knowledge, education, and other resources that would enable them to easily find the answers to their questions if they would actually look instead of demanding that women of color sweat answers into their palms.
there are legitimate members of society that believe that you have to be smart to understand the jokes in the big bang theory
tumblr can educate u but most the time it turn these bloggers into pseudo intellectuals and then they start talkin nonsense about issues they know nothing about and everyone’s a sheep on here so they just follow and continue this nonsense and lo and behold your whole dash is filled with a bunch of bloggers who think they know what they talking about
im beat but im probably gonna keep blogging for a few more minutes
i’m tired of the dash being filled with bloggers claiming reverse racism just take the L and shutup forever u geek ass bitches
*white dad voice* Now hold on a minute there pal *drops mayonnaise* I’m severely oppressed on the interwebs as a result of my snowy complexion *avoids racial profiling while driving* Furthermore *dances awkwardly* all my stereotypes are REAL harmful *enjoys J. Cole*
Here’s my art for Let’s Draw Sherlock. It’s based off The Nightmare, an oil painting by Henry Fuseli.
If you watched me livestream (I did the lineart and base colours there) you’ll probably notice how much shading can effect the look of the final picture! Magic, huh? ♥
